‘Paronychia’ commonly referred to as a nail infection, is commonly seen in a fingernail or toenail. This is a bacterial infection that results due to nail biting, finger sucking, because of washing dishes or using chemicals with bare hands. This type of nail infection can be caused even by fungi growth under the nails. Being a common condition it is found to affect people worldwide.
